Map every source and destination
Create a source schedule that records format, resolution, frame rate, protection requirements and the displays or rooms that need access. This prevents late-stage surprises when legacy devices, secure networks or non-standard signals enter the system.
Separate transport from presentation
Routing moves content to the right processing point; wall controllers place and scale it on the final canvas. Treating these as separate design layers makes expansion, troubleshooting and redundancy easier to plan.
Build operator workflows, not button lists
Operators should recall task-based layouts for normal monitoring, incidents, briefings and maintenance. Presets reduce interaction steps, protect critical content positions and make shift handovers more consistent.
Test failure modes before handover
Acceptance should include source loss, controller recovery, power interruption, preset recall and replacement procedures—not only a successful full-screen demonstration. Documenting these results gives the support team a usable operating baseline.
